How do you feel about having two large organizations representing the blind of the United States and in large part, the rest of the world? Many people feel that the existence of two organizations in the United States, namely the National Federation of the Blind and the American Counsel of the Blind each of which claims about fifty thousand registered members dilutes the strength of any seriously organized blindness related lobbying efforts in the United States and the rest of the world. Many people would be happy to see the two organizations merge into one more powerful organization. How do you feel?
